This painting almost seems to me like a delicate duet between the woman and the flowers. It is as if they have both just turned and revealed their face to the viewer. The graceful curve in the stem of the flowers matches the curve of the woman's back and hip. The orchids seem to whisper to the woman of morning and light and beauty.
